We are pleased to announce that Gilbert Van Kerckhove, managing director of Beijing Global Strategy Consulting Co. Ltd has joined the Beijing Municipal Development Planning Commission, the "Office for Beijing Olympics 2008 projects", as "Delegate - Investment Promotion". He will focus on promoting the six major venues and facilities that will be the subject of international "Ownership Tenders" in the near future. He will discuss and liaison with potential investors (the "Owners"). His priority will be: the National Stadium, the National Indoor Stadium and the National Swimming Center.
He will start officially on August 1, 2002 but is already preparing for the challenging job.

His responsibilities include:
- alerting potential investors and explaining the concept
- gives suggestions on how to improve the packaging of the projects
-conveys comments and suggestions from the foreign side to the BDPC
-assists in contacts and meetings between potential investors and the BDPC

The Office is under Mr. Liu Zhi, Deputy Director of the Beijing Municipal Development Planning Commission.
