Beijing
International Investment Promotion Council (BIIPC)
BIIPC was set up in February 2001 by the
Beijing Municipal Government under the guidance of the Beijing Foreign
Economy and Trade Commission and supported by 63 Founding Members. Its
main goal is to coordinate the promotion of foreign investment in Beijing,
to enhance links with the international business world, to improve the
overall investment environment and to develop Beijing as a modern 21stCentury
City.
On 14 February 2002, the "Nationwide Investment Promotion Agancy" was
officially launched in Beijing, uniting 41 similar agencies from all over
China, including BIIPC, into a single platform.
