On 18 May 2001 BFISC delegates (Mr. Sun Changtai and Mr. G. Van Kerckhove) joined the Investment Promotion Fair in Fangshan. Mr. Chen Gang of the Beijing Foreign Economic Relations & Trade Commission also attended.
BFISC often attends and supports investment trade fairs of the districts under the Beijing Municipality.
Fangshan District is situated in the southwest of Beijing and 38 Km from downtown Beijing. It has an area of over 2,000 sq. Km. and a population of over 800,000. The capital is Liangxiang.
Fangshan offers several interesting scenic spots such as the "Peking Man Site" (Zhoukoudian), the Karst Caves and several temples and pagodas as well beautiful mountains.
Fangshan also has ample coal reserves and marble quarries and important agricultural resources. It has several industrial zones with foreign investment.
